Amazon deals of the day at a glance:
It's hump day, which means you're just a couple of days away from a three-day weekend. We've got just the thing to get you over the hump: deals up to 51% off! On May 22, we've got our eyes on a few standout price drops on products from Apple, Dyson, Amazon, and Anker.
If you're looking to treat yourself or someone you love, we've got you covered. Here are our top picks for the best Amazon deals of the day. Check back at our hand-picked deals from May 20 and May 21 as well — most of those are still live.
The 2020 MacBook Air is no longer the latest and greatest MacBook on Apple's shelves, but that doesn't mean it's not a good laptop. The M1 chip "has been able to really take the MacBook where it should've been all along," Brenda Stolyar noted in our M1 MacBook Air review. "It offers longer battery life, silky smooth performance (without the need for a fan to power through tough tasks), and operates more like an iPhone and iPad."
Of course, since then, the M2 and M3 have soared past its processing abilities, but if you're looking for a laptop that can conquer creative tasks as well as everyday tasks, the M1 can still get the job done. It offers 18 hours of battery life, an extremely lightweight build at 2.8 pounds, and the best price tag you'll find on a new MacBook, especially with this discount. Regularly $999, you can snag the base model M1 MacBook Air for only $699 at Amazon as of May 22 — that's the lowest price it's ever been.
A step up from Amazon's entry-level 4-Series, the Omni Fire TV not only offers 4K everyday entertainment but also Dolby Vision support and a slimmer bezel for a home theater experience. And, of course, as a Fire TV, it also features built-in Alexa that works even when the TV's turned off.
The massive 75-inch Omni Series Fire TV is regularly $1,049.99, but with the on-page coupon, Prime members can bring it home for only $759.99. That's about 28% in savings and the lowest price we've seen on this model since the holiday season. (Please note that this special price only shows up for select customers; if $789.99 is showing up on the page for you, that's still a deal worth grabbing.)
The bizarre and absurdly expensive Dyson Zone noise-canceling headphones just got $200 cheaper at Amazon, making them a more palatable $499.99. At first glance, they may just look like a futuristic pair of headphones, but under the hood, these babies are working double duty as an air purifier. They come with an attachable travel visor that covers your mouth and nose, ensuring the air you're breathing in is fresh. Strange? Yes. But those intrigued by new tech may want to experience it for themselves.
Dyson is offering some standout deals today, including the Outsize cordless vacuum cleaner. Regularly $599.99, it's on sale for just $399.99 at Amazon — that's a savings of 33%. While it doesn't sport a dust-detecting laser like the newer Gen5outsize, the Dyson Outsize is still a beast of a vacuum. It has a huge half-gallon dustbin, a Dyson Hyperdymium motor, and comes with four cleaning accessories including a crevice tool, hair screw tool, and combination tool. It has slightly less suction power compared to the Gen5outsize — 220AW versus 250AW — and a shorter battery life, but for the astounding price difference, we're willing to let those things slide. The Gen5outsize will run you over $800 on sale — that's more than double the price of the Outsize.
We just included the Soundcore Space A40 noise-canceling earbuds in our Amazon deals of the day a couple of days ago, but the price just dropped another 99 cents. That means at $49, they're now at the lowest price on record. Reviewed and rated "excellent" by our friends over at PCMag (which is owned by Mashable's publisher, Ziff Davis), these buds have a lot to offer for such a low price tag. They offer "quality active noise cancellation and balanced, detailed audio," plus 50 hours of audio playback, a fast-charging feature that delivers four extra hours of listening on a 10-minute charge, and a comfortable, water-resistant build.
